The Bathroom Remodeling Experts Serving Troy, MI

A bathroom can look fine at first glance and still make every morning more difficult than it needs to be. Storage may be limited, the tub may go unused, or the room may simply feel dated and uncomfortable. Eventually, working around those problems stops feeling practical.

Kurtis Kitchen & Bath helps Troy homeowners turn frustrating bathrooms into spaces that feel more comfortable, attractive, and suited to daily life. Since 1968, our family-owned company has guided Southeast Michigan homeowners through the remodeling process with experienced design support and a commitment to lasting workmanship.

Bathroom Remodeling Made Simple

Bathroom remodeling in Troy, MI, doesn’t have to follow a single formula. The right project depends on how much you want to change and how quickly you need the room back in use.

Full Custom Bathroom Renovation

A full bathroom remodel gives you the flexibility to rethink the room from top to bottom. The existing bathroom is removed, and the new space is built around selections you make with your designer.

This approach is best suited to homeowners who want to change multiple elements, resolve layout problems, replace aging materials, or create a completely different look. You won’t be limited to a preset package or asked to coordinate the design decisions alone. Instead, you’ll be working with a team that’s dedicated to bringing your dream bathroom to life with custom solutions suited to your exact wants and needs.

One-Day Bathroom Update

If the bathroom’s layout still works for you but you’re no longer happy with the wet area, a one-day bathroom remodel offers an ideal alternative.

For this service, we use the Wetwall panel system in place of traditional tile, allowing the bathing area to be updated on a significantly shorter timeline. It’s a practical option when you want a durable, easy-to-maintain refresh without rebuilding the entire room.

Your designer can explain what each option includes and help you choose based on your goals, preferred materials, schedule, and budget.

Accessible Upgrades to Make Your Bathroom Easier to Use

The most valuable remodeling improvements often solve problems you encounter every day. Kurtis Kitchen & Bath offers several ways to improve how your Troy bathroom functions without overlooking how you want it to look.

Replace a Difficult Tub or Shower

An aging shower can become harder to clean, less reliable, and visually out of place with the rest of your home. A new walk-in shower can make the bathing area feel brighter and more open while providing easier entry.

Our designers can help you plan a walk-in shower for your available space and coordinate its materials with the rest of the bathroom. Low-threshold options are also available for homeowners who want greater accessibility now or are planning for the future.

Turn an Unused Tub Into a Custom Shower

If your bathtub rarely serves a purpose, replacing it may allow you to use that space more effectively. A tub-to-shower conversion removes the tub and installs a custom shower within its existing footprint.

This can create a more convenient bathing area without requiring the shower to be relocated elsewhere in the room. Our team coordinates the necessary plumbing and finish work so the conversion feels like an intentional part of the design.

Add Safety Without Making the Room Feel Clinical

Accessibility features work best when they’re considered early rather than added only after they become urgently necessary. Our safety and accessibility options can be incorporated into the bathroom’s design from the outset.

Depending on your needs, the room may include:

• A low-threshold shower entrance

• Built-in shower seating

• Thoughtfully positioned grab bars

• Accessories chosen for easier everyday use

These details can support greater comfort and independence while complementing the style of the remodeled bathroom.

Premium Materials Selected With Performance in Mind

Bathroom materials face moisture, frequent cleaning, and daily wear, so appearance is only part of the decision. Your designer will help you compare products based on how they look, feel, and perform within the space.

For custom remodels, Kurtis Kitchen & Bath sources tile through Virginia Tile, giving Troy homeowners access to a range of colors, patterns, and formats. Fixture selections include products from Kohler and Delta. If you choose a one-day bath, Wetwall panels provide a durable alternative to traditional tiled wet-area walls.
