How to Get the Most out of Your Kitchen Remodel
Homeowners will seek kitchen remodeling companies for different reasons, a common one being that they want to cook in a modern kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of any home, which is why it needs to undergo certain growth periods throughout its life. Should a family begin to expand in size, their kitchen might need to follow suite, resulting in a larger and more practical kitchen needing to be designed. Not every family living in West Bloomfield, MI, is going to need an entire kitchen remodel, as sometimes replacing the kitchen cabinets will be more than enough. The following is how to get the most out of your kitchen remodel.
Optimize on Storage Opportunities
One of the biggest complaints a homeowner harbors against their kitchen is how little storage it provides. As many people know, kitchen drawers and cabinets can quickly become encumbered by pots, pans, cups, Tupperware’s, dishes, and more. This can make storing away new items a challenge. In order to get the most out of a kitchen remodel, informing the hired kitchen remodeling company about one’s needs is key. By emphasize how important storage opportunities are to one’s person, the hired company will be able to deliver exactly what was asked for. Most commonly, those in need of greater storage areas will seek to have an island built into their kitchen, as well as hooks and dividers placed inside of their cabinets.
Choose Materials That’ll Increase Your Home’s Value
Committing to an entire kitchen remodel can be difficult to do when seeing the price tag that comes attached with it. However, if there is one comforting thought homeowners can hold on to, it’s the one of being able to sell their home at a more generous price in the future. More often than not, homeowners who invest in luxury countertop materials, like marble, are going to be able to make some of their money back when selling their home. Combine these materials with flawless designs and gorgeous kitchen cabinets, and homeowners just might be able to get a higher return on their investment.
Sell Old Appliances and Buy New Ones
One of the main goals of remodeling a kitchen is creating a beautiful space in which family members can cook in. However, there is nothing that sticks out more than old appliances in a newly remodeled kitchen. In order to get the most out of a kitchen remodel, ensuring that new appliances are delivered and installed is primal. Should a homeowner’s appliances still be in good shape but simply look outdated, selling them on the internet and then using the money provided to buy more prestigious ones can help create the optimal kitchen.

From start to finish Kurtis was a great company to work with. From the initial contact and design concept with Gregory Holster to the cabinet drop off team, the install team led by project manager Jeff Tuomi and the countertop company, the project was on time and all work was performed beyond expectations. This was greatly appreciated seeing as it was completed on December 23. All the people involved were professional and did an excellent job.
Shanna was our project consultant. Picking out cabinets along with counters can be somewhat overwhelming but her knowledge & experience helped us make the right decisions. Dylan & Juwan unloaded truck & Dylan check off ship ticket to make sure all boxes were accounted for. Courteous & pleasant to talk to…nice job of stacking everything neatly in our garage. We couldn't be more pleased with the service & so happy with our kitchen
We recently worked with Lauren on cabinetry for a master bathroom renovation. She was great to work on the design and selections. Lauren was efficient and responsive from cabinet selection through ordering. Our overall installation was smooth. We had some unforeseen circumstances impacting our ability to accept delivery of our cabinets on the initial agreed upon date. Kurtis was very accommodating in rescheduling delivery given our project challenges. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets for this project.
We had complete renovations to our kitchen and main bathroom. From start to finish, the design with Shanna was exactly what we asked for and Jeff stayed on top of the renovations, communicating each step of the way. Every worker was professional and the final product is elegant and functional. We were very happy with Kurtis and would choose Shanna and Jeff again.
We love our new kitchen! Kurtis Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job, and Adrian at the Clarkston location was exceptional to work with—creative, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. The project was well-organized, and we went from demo to a fully functioning kitchen in just 30 days. Highly recommend!
