These counters, much like their name suggests, are made from recycled glass that is melted into slabs and then used as countertops. The fact that they are made with recycled glass means that they are very eco-friendly, making them the perfect option for those who are environmentally-conscious. They are also non-absorbent, making them very easy to clean. Recycled glass slab countertops are available in lots of unique looks and colors but can be expensive and difficult to obtain.

Another eco-friendly countertop option to consider when remodeling your home is recycled glass tile countertops. This is made from tiles of recycled glass that are placed over a core of cement similar to ceramic tiles.
