Least Known Kitchen Remodeling Ideas That Portray One’s Personality
The kitchen is center of activity in a home. It is evolving from a place for only food preparation to a place where guests can be entertained. When looking for kitchen remodeling ideas, do not forget that functionality goes hand in hand with your personality. There are many options that can be used to renovate the kitchen, from the cabinets, faucets, taps, countertops, and backsplash, so one can never run out of ideas.
The Modern Gray
One of the most popular kitchen trends that is easy to adopt is gray. This will be a great idea when used against a backdrop of marble countertops and colored stone tiles. The modern gray comes out well when finished with silver coated faucets and taps. It will be a complete finish with a matching gray colored window blind.
The Classic Kitchen
The use of Dresden Doors on white kitchen cabinets mated with a countertop that has a natural stone look and laminate and glass tiles will give a sophisticated, yet classical look.
The Wooden Feel
Using wood to refurbish the kitchen is one of the great ideas for kitchen remodeling. Using the red ochre cabinets against the backdrop of dull-colored stone counters will give a lively appearance every time they do reflect light.
Backsplash
Kitchen backsplashes do more than protect kitchen walls from staining; they also add subtle color accents to your kitchen walls, creating a stylish look. Playing around with patched tiles in the kitchen can help create a unique and attractive look. There is a choice of either arranging the tiles in a horizontal or vertical arrangement fashion or highlighting the borderline to give the kitchen more life.
Window Shades
Add shades that have a texture that gives enough light, but one that keeps prying eyes from the kitchen just to maintain the privacy of this treasured space. Window shades should add a pattern or texture to accentuate the overall color without creating a big contrast.
Lighting the Kitchen
Every new kitchen remodeling idea should have a matching lighting strategy. Make sure the light design either blends with the faucets and fixtures, if not there a better way of lighting by making use of pendants placed directly above the sink or countertops. Always look for accessories that blend with the type of light used.
The Countertops
Countertops should blend in style with all cabinets and backsplash. The design and texture to be used for the countertops should also coordinate well with the decorations and pattern on kitchen walls. Materials such as marble and quartz, give a strong and durable surface fit for the kitchen.
The Faucets
Find tap nozzles that match with the sink and cabinet handles. A good idea would be to match the faucets with light fixtures as well. The choice of faucets should complement the gleaming surfaces by reflecting light to increase the vividness of the space. Bronze faucets will give that dark fine finish.

From start to finish Kurtis was a great company to work with. From the initial contact and design concept with Gregory Holster to the cabinet drop off team, the install team led by project manager Jeff Tuomi and the countertop company, the project was on time and all work was performed beyond expectations. This was greatly appreciated seeing as it was completed on December 23. All the people involved were professional and did an excellent job.
Shanna was our project consultant. Picking out cabinets along with counters can be somewhat overwhelming but her knowledge & experience helped us make the right decisions. Dylan & Juwan unloaded truck & Dylan check off ship ticket to make sure all boxes were accounted for. Courteous & pleasant to talk to…nice job of stacking everything neatly in our garage. We couldn't be more pleased with the service & so happy with our kitchen
We recently worked with Lauren on cabinetry for a master bathroom renovation. She was great to work on the design and selections. Lauren was efficient and responsive from cabinet selection through ordering. Our overall installation was smooth. We had some unforeseen circumstances impacting our ability to accept delivery of our cabinets on the initial agreed upon date. Kurtis was very accommodating in rescheduling delivery given our project challenges. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets for this project.
We had complete renovations to our kitchen and main bathroom. From start to finish, the design with Shanna was exactly what we asked for and Jeff stayed on top of the renovations, communicating each step of the way. Every worker was professional and the final product is elegant and functional. We were very happy with Kurtis and would choose Shanna and Jeff again.
We love our new kitchen! Kurtis Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job, and Adrian at the Clarkston location was exceptional to work with—creative, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. The project was well-organized, and we went from demo to a fully functioning kitchen in just 30 days. Highly recommend!
