Plumbing Possibilities In The Kitchen
Kitchen Remodeling Apr 25

Planning for a kitchen remodeling service in Royal Oak to come in and take the once shabby room apart only to be replaced with a brand new one can be full of surprises. Like any remodeling procedure, taking the kitchen apart can reveal hidden problems that were not very apparent before, especially when it comes to the plumbing. There are two main sources in kitchens which are affected by the plumbing: the overly used sink and the life-saving dishwasher. It is very disturbing to one's daily routine to have either of these two out of service.
Having good plumbing is essential to the functionality of kitchens and also in ensuring that one's day goes by smoothly. Life is already extremely busy. With work, school, and a very demanding social life it can be hard to even make time for the dishes, let alone make time to deal with a sink or dishwasher that just refuses to work the way it should. Another major disadvantage to not having appropriate plumbing is that since most kitchens are on the main floor, having problems with the plumbing can often lead to leaks that make it down to the basement ceiling. This leaking will definitely create water stains and, in serious conditions, can even make cracks in the basement ceiling which will be bothersome and expensive to replace.
Before calling in the professionals to take a look at the plumbing, it is very important that one turns the water off in the house. There is usually an easily accessible valve in the basement that needs to be turned in order to turn the water off. Once the water is off, the professionals will easily be able to take a look at the plumbing without water spilling everywhere. The plumbing service providers will most likely ask one to do this anyway, so it is best to be prepared beforehand to save time. Another important factor to consider when replacing the plumbing is the brand from which the plumbing parts are being bought.
If there is a lot of damage or if the plumbing is very old then the plumbers will need to buy a replacement part. Kitchen and bathroom remodeling centers often carry plumbing pieces from recognized brands and therefore they can be consulted as well. Having the plumbing in one’s kitchen remodeled is a definite investment which is sure to prevent further damages happening to one's home and which will also increase the value of the house. There really is no disadvantage to getting one’s plumbing fixed during a kitchen remodeling project in Royal Oak.

From start to finish Kurtis was a great company to work with. From the initial contact and design concept with Gregory Holster to the cabinet drop off team, the install team led by project manager Jeff Tuomi and the countertop company, the project was on time and all work was performed beyond expectations. This was greatly appreciated seeing as it was completed on December 23. All the people involved were professional and did an excellent job.
Shanna was our project consultant. Picking out cabinets along with counters can be somewhat overwhelming but her knowledge & experience helped us make the right decisions. Dylan & Juwan unloaded truck & Dylan check off ship ticket to make sure all boxes were accounted for. Courteous & pleasant to talk to…nice job of stacking everything neatly in our garage. We couldn't be more pleased with the service & so happy with our kitchen
We recently worked with Lauren on cabinetry for a master bathroom renovation. She was great to work on the design and selections. Lauren was efficient and responsive from cabinet selection through ordering. Our overall installation was smooth. We had some unforeseen circumstances impacting our ability to accept delivery of our cabinets on the initial agreed upon date. Kurtis was very accommodating in rescheduling delivery given our project challenges. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets for this project.
We had complete renovations to our kitchen and main bathroom. From start to finish, the design with Shanna was exactly what we asked for and Jeff stayed on top of the renovations, communicating each step of the way. Every worker was professional and the final product is elegant and functional. We were very happy with Kurtis and would choose Shanna and Jeff again.
We love our new kitchen! Kurtis Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job, and Adrian at the Clarkston location was exceptional to work with—creative, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. The project was well-organized, and we went from demo to a fully functioning kitchen in just 30 days. Highly recommend!
