Things To Consider Before Getting a Bathroom Remodeled
Bathroom Remodeling Apr 27
A remodeled bathroom is one of the biggest uplifts one can give to the house. Bathrooms are almost always situated near bedrooms and the main family and living areas. Therefore, they get abundant use. Not to mention the fact that everyone needs to use the bathroom for multiple purposes, multiple times a day. The bathroom is a highly utilized portion of the house. This high traffic can cause a lot of wear and tear on the bathroom cabinets, sinks, and floors. Many people are not content with their bathrooms simply because bathrooms receive so much use, and therefore, they tend to start looking older in a small amount of time. This can be remedied by buying very high-quality materials for the remodeling. However, not everyone can afford to do that. There are a few factors ones should keep in mind before deciding whether or not to remodel a bathroom.
1.Budget
First and foremost, the most important thing to consider before starting to remodel is checking one’s savings account. How much can one really afford to spend at this time? A list of all of one’s current expenses and debts should be made and contrasted with one's savings and expected income. It is important to remember that remodeling one's bathroom is actually an investment and not like an ordinary purchase which will not give a return. Remodeling one's bathroom will upgrade the look of the house and, in turn, increase the house value, sometimes dramatically.
2.Time
Some people get into the rush of things, and in the sheer excitement of getting a newly remodeled bathroom, they select any date in which the work can begin, without really thinking about the consequences on their behalf. Make sure the schedule is clear for at least the entire week in which the remodeling is to occur. Having workers doing the remodeling is going to be messy and a little noisy. Make sure no relatives are coming that week, and also make sure there is someone who can stay at home during that time in case the constructors have an important inquiry.
3. Design
Before starting the remodeling, the design of the new bathroom should be selected. It is important to do much research and consider all the possible options before selecting the materials and style that one wants to remodel with because this will decrease the chances of regretting one's decision when it is too late. Remodeling a bathroom is an exciting experience and it can definitely influence the entire look and feel of one’s house. Before running to the nearest bathroom remodeling store to get a newly remodeled bathroom made, it is very important that one takes the time to plan their budget, find the times they are available, and select an appropriate design so that there are no regrets later on.

From start to finish Kurtis was a great company to work with. From the initial contact and design concept with Gregory Holster to the cabinet drop off team, the install team led by project manager Jeff Tuomi and the countertop company, the project was on time and all work was performed beyond expectations. This was greatly appreciated seeing as it was completed on December 23. All the people involved were professional and did an excellent job.
Shanna was our project consultant. Picking out cabinets along with counters can be somewhat overwhelming but her knowledge & experience helped us make the right decisions. Dylan & Juwan unloaded truck & Dylan check off ship ticket to make sure all boxes were accounted for. Courteous & pleasant to talk to…nice job of stacking everything neatly in our garage. We couldn't be more pleased with the service & so happy with our kitchen
We recently worked with Lauren on cabinetry for a master bathroom renovation. She was great to work on the design and selections. Lauren was efficient and responsive from cabinet selection through ordering. Our overall installation was smooth. We had some unforeseen circumstances impacting our ability to accept delivery of our cabinets on the initial agreed upon date. Kurtis was very accommodating in rescheduling delivery given our project challenges. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets for this project.
We had complete renovations to our kitchen and main bathroom. From start to finish, the design with Shanna was exactly what we asked for and Jeff stayed on top of the renovations, communicating each step of the way. Every worker was professional and the final product is elegant and functional. We were very happy with Kurtis and would choose Shanna and Jeff again.
We love our new kitchen! Kurtis Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job, and Adrian at the Clarkston location was exceptional to work with—creative, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. The project was well-organized, and we went from demo to a fully functioning kitchen in just 30 days. Highly recommend!
