Which Home Renovations Have the Most Impact?
Kitchen Remodeling Feb 25

Renovations plan of the apartment with hammer and nails Not all home renovations create the same impact on a home. Most people think that renovations should only be for their own tastes. While the home is yours, you should also consider what will happen when the home is sold one day. Some renovation projects get you a much better return on your investment than others. You should keep this in mind if you're planning renovations soon. Some of these projects can cost a lot less to finance than you might think initially. Consider these four renovations to boost your home's beauty and value.
1. Minor Kitchen Remodel
Nothing increases the appeal of a home in Livonia MI quite like a minor kitchen remodel. Most people think that kitchen remodels cost over 50,000 dollars, but that's not always true. Savvy buyers can upgrade a kitchen a great deal by updating sinks, counter tops, appliances, cabinet doors, faucets, hardware, and paint. Modern kitchens are sought after by home buyers more than any other element of a home. You'll enjoy spending time in your updated kitchen, too
2. Bathroom Renovations
Outside of the kitchen, the biggest impact you can make on your home is in the bathroom. A nice bathroom is comfortable to use and look at. There are plenty of different plans for remodeling a bathroom, but you really only need the basics to take your bathroom to the next level. Consider a new toilet, a tub surrounded with tile, a double sink, a vanity, a built-in medicine cabinet, vinyl wallpaper, and tile flooring. These renovations will increase the appeal and desirability of the bathroom in your eyes and in the eyes of potential buyers.
3. New Front Door
A new front door can add appeal to the inside and outside of the home in Livonia MI. The front door is where people enter and exit your home. It's nice to have a sturdy, stylish door there to greet people. You may be able to paint your front door to gain the same effect. A newer door can cut down on your utility bills as well if it keeps cold air out in the winter and hot air out in the summer. Make sure to pick a door that complements the rest of your home. You don't want to mess up the symmetry of the home from a visual standpoint.
4. Attic Conversion
Many people are now converting their attics into bedrooms. This is a great use of the space provided to do home renovations. Younger children tend to enjoy attic bedrooms very much. It gives them a sense of freedom and independence. Older children might see it as a space they can call their own. In any case renovating the attic to turn it into a bedroom is a wise choice for many homeowners. It won't cost as much as you think. People will be interested to see the new room when they come over to check out the house. These rooms really make a house feel more like home.Improve your home with beautiful cabinets, vanities, flooring and other home improvement options from Kurtis Kitchen & Bath. From start to finish Kurtis was a great company to work with. From the initial contact and design concept with Gregory Holster to the cabinet drop off team, the install team led by project manager Jeff Tuomi and the countertop company, the project was on time and all work was performed beyond expectations. This was greatly appreciated seeing as it was completed on December 23. All the people involved were professional and did an excellent job.
Shanna was our project consultant. Picking out cabinets along with counters can be somewhat overwhelming but her knowledge & experience helped us make the right decisions. Dylan & Juwan unloaded truck & Dylan check off ship ticket to make sure all boxes were accounted for. Courteous & pleasant to talk to…nice job of stacking everything neatly in our garage. We couldn't be more pleased with the service & so happy with our kitchen
We recently worked with Lauren on cabinetry for a master bathroom renovation. She was great to work on the design and selections. Lauren was efficient and responsive from cabinet selection through ordering. Our overall installation was smooth. We had some unforeseen circumstances impacting our ability to accept delivery of our cabinets on the initial agreed upon date. Kurtis was very accommodating in rescheduling delivery given our project challenges. We couldn't be happier with our cabinets for this project.
We had complete renovations to our kitchen and main bathroom. From start to finish, the design with Shanna was exactly what we asked for and Jeff stayed on top of the renovations, communicating each step of the way. Every worker was professional and the final product is elegant and functional. We were very happy with Kurtis and would choose Shanna and Jeff again.
We love our new kitchen! Kurtis Kitchen & Bath did an outstanding job, and Adrian at the Clarkston location was exceptional to work with—creative, patient, and really listened to what we wanted. The project was well-organized, and we went from demo to a fully functioning kitchen in just 30 days. Highly recommend!
